The SADC Free Trade Area (FTA) was officially launched on 17 August 2008 at the SADC Summit of Heads of State and/or Government in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was contracted by the funding donor agency, the German Government, through GFA Consulting, to put together the communications campaign for the FTA launch. The campaign included conceptualization, design and production of the entire promotion, including logo, banners, flyers, brochures, posters and site masthead in the three official SADC languages for use in the 14 SADC Member States as well as the Summit. The campaign was executed over a period of 45 days, from the initial boardroom brainstorming sessions to final production and delivery of all the promotional material.
